RAW TO THE RESCUE
We believe that animal rescue organizations play a vital role in caring for the welfare of animals in our community. By lending helping hands to paws in need whenever possible, we feel we are making a difference.
Through partnerships with many of our retailers, we provide raw food and accessories to rescues and charitable organizations that feed raw food to rescued animals. Our retailers provide us with raw products that are close to their best before date, that have damaged packaging or other aesthetic issues (but at not spoiled), or products that they simply wish to donate. We then deliver the raw food to a pet-focused charitable or not-for-profit organization in need.
We also pick up new toys, treats, bones and other items donated by our retailers. If it is for a pet, and the store is on our delivery route, we’ll pick it up and deliver it to a rescue organization.
Currently, we are providing donated items to the following rescue societies:
Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS)
The Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is a registered charity that operates the City of Richmond Animal Shelter and, independently, one of North America’s largest cat sanctuaries. RAPS is proud to be a no-kill organization, which is among the reasons we have built a strong and devoted community of animal-loving allies.
West Coast Rottweiler Rescue
West Coast Rottweiler Rescue is a small and dedicated group in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia. In 2008, Bev and Jim Inglis gathered some friends together to help with a vision. That vision was to work with Rottweilers and Rottweiler crosses that no one else was helping with. They work to place these wonderful dogs in forever homes.
Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA)
Cross Our Paws Rescue
Cross Our Paws is a not-for-profit “all-breed” dog rescue organization with foster homes located throughout Vancouver, BC. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who love animals and have joined together to help rescue, provide medical care, rehabilitate and rehome abused, abandoned, homeless animals.
Last Chance Animal Rescue
Founded in 2011, Last Chance Animal Rescue Society is registered BC Not-for-Profit Society operating out of the British Columbia Lower Mainland. LCAR is run by a dedicated board of directors, and volunteers. No profit or salary is ever taken by any member, volunteer, or director. They work for the benefit of the animals, and all donations and income goes directly back to the dogs in their care.
We would like to thank our retailers for their ongoing support and for donations to the Red Dog Blue Kat Raw To The Rescue Program.
