Red Dog Blue Kat is a manufacturer of high quality raw food for dogs and cats based in Vancouver, BC. It was founded in 2004 by a group of friends drawn together by a mutual love and concern for our dogs and cats. Like you, we want to do the best for our loyal companions, and we appreciate how difficult and confusing it can be in making the right choices.

Due to the efforts of veterinarians like Dr. Ian Billinghurst, many people are taking a very hard look at how they are feeding their dogs and cats and are coming to the conclusion that commercial cooked diets are far from the best choice.

Our goal is to share the information we have gathered through our research, veterinarian consultation, and our experience to help you make the healthy choice for your companion.

Louise and Linda both share a passion for their animal friends. Between the two of them, they care for six dogs and two cats and have been feeding and researching the raw diet for the past seventeen years.

They have a particularly soft heart for senior rescue and have seen first-hand the benefits a quality fresh diet can offer to their friends - especially with the difference it has made for their senior rescue dogs Damie, Duffy and Daisy.

“My search began when I adopted Adhara – a year-old gangly Irish Wolfhound cross – from the SPCA. I had to find something special for her because her breed is documented to be at risk for a barrage of health problems because of their size.

Inna and Adhara

When I started reading about the raw diet, it made perfect sense, and I see the difference it makes every day!” Inna has researched the raw diet and consulted with veterinarians and breeders the last three years.

“When I first got Adhara, her teeth were so yellow, the vet thought she was three or four, and she got tired after running around for 10 minutes! Now her energy is great, her teeth are white, her dandruff is gone and her fur … well, that’s still dirty from rolling at the beach!”
